Welcome to the third edition of Vision Homes News
In our last newsletter I mentioned we were looking at several options for our new Head Office space, to bring staff from New Outlook and Vision Homes together. I am delighted to report we are all now in our new office space, working together.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the staff that have had a hand in arranging the move, especially Helen Richards and Jayne Rowe; fantastic work all round! The new office is a bright and airy space, and we have had a pop of pink painted across the back wall and on two of the pillars which is a colour from our new logo. Staff from VHA and NOHA have been working together and getting to know each other. See further down this page for more information and pictures.
I’m pleased to say that Log my Care is now live across VHA services and is being put to good use by our staff. Staff can now update information about the people we support quickly and easily using the Care App, and can see at glance tasks that have been set by managers. I look forward to seeing the positive changes that switching to a digital Care Management system will bring. We hope it will improve efficiency, reduce the time spent on administration, and enable our staff to spend more time with the people we support so as to provide the highest levels of care possible. It will also improve our logging and reporting processes for the regulator, the CQC.
We’ve Moved
The Head Office staff for Vision Homes and New Outlook are now located in the same office space on the 5th floor at TriGate. All our contact telephone numbers and email addresses remain the same, we have just gone upstairs at Trigate. Our new office is located through the double doors to the left of the lifts, and then to the left at the end of the corridor, past the fire exit. We have some great views out over Oldbury with the Birmingham skyline in the distance.
Coronation Celebrations 2023
Services were sent activity boxes and held a range of Coronation themed activities including cake baking and putting up decorations. Some great creativity on display!
The People we Support – Activities
It’s been a busy couple of months for the people we support (and our staff)! In addition to the Coronation, there was a disco in Ludlow, various trips including summer holidays to the coast and the Eden Project, visits to museums and historic houses, and trips to a local fun fair where people enjoyed a range of games and rides. It’s great to see the people we support getting out into the community and enjoying themselves, now the Summer is here.
