Supported Living / Domiciliary Services
Owning or renting your own home is an important part of having control of your life. Supported living is about choosing how, where and who you live with. It is about having support provided around the individual rather than the individual fitting into a service.
Different people need help in different ways to enable them to live the life they want. For some people, this could mean help for just a few hours a week, perhaps to prepare meals or to go shopping, or for others, it could mean having someone support them day and night.
Vision Homes Association believes everyone has the right to live however they want. We support you in living in your own home and choosing how you want to live. If you want to try new hobbies and activities, we can help you find what is available. If you want to get more involved in your local community, we can support you in getting out and about.

Some of the people we support prefer to reside in shared living accommodations. This is usually a property where two or three people live together, supported by a staff team, usually on a 24-hour basis. Staff are well trained to promote independence by doing the activities the individual residents want to do.
Vision Homes Association has very high professional standards. Our staff receive a high level of training – not just with statutory training such as moving and handling, health and safety and safeguarding.
Vision Homes Association develops additional specialist training to ensure staff feel confident in supporting people with disabilities such as visual impairment, challenging behaviours, epilepsy and diabetes training.
We ensure that all those we support feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect at all times. We respect your right to privacy when you want it. We listen to what you want and what you say about our service.
Whether support is being paid for by a local authority, through Individual Budgets or out of a person’s pocket, Vision Homes Association can create a plan that is always tailored to an individual needs whilst promoting independence, dignity and the right to live the way they want in their own space. We know this approach is important to those we support, and we have seen the benefits this support brings to their welfare and health.
